This event caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a suspected pepper spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after getting out of a car park lift, authorities reported.

A toddler was one of the people hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.

This event – described by police as was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
